and Also a 'Scoliosis' Question, do u have to be born with scoliosis or can u develop it, and have it in your teens?

LOL..like the other guy said, back pain can be pretty debilitating. I think what you might have is back stiffness. Well, that can fall under back pain category...but ...oh well..call it what you like hahaha..

As far as scoliosis goes, most scoliosis is developed during your adolescent year and is most dangerous during growth peak. In mild cases, it isn't quite visible and often are found during x-ray examination for something else. School screenigs are also good way to find it, but a lot of the states still do not provide such service.

It is easy to do the screening at home. To do it properly, you need to purchase an instrument called scoliometer which measures rotation of the spine. It comes with instruction so I'll forgo with the details.

Good luck

If you are feeling any discomfort at all, and it won't go away; go to a doctor. I'm a teen, but i kept having back pain which i thought was normal, but it kept getting worse and worse so i went to the doctor; and i have disk degenerative disease and arthritis in my back. So go pay the doc a visit to make sure it isn't serious. I waited a long time to go to my doctor, and now I'm paying for it :(

Back stiffness is common if you sit for a while, and soreness can be from over exercising or pulling a muscle, so that could be it. And you can develop scoliosis as you get older. A good way to prevent this is to have good posture, and keep your back muscles strong.

Sorry my answer was long, but good luck and i hope nothing is wrong with your back :)

TRUST ME, if you had a serious back you WOULD KNOW it................i suffer from severe scoliosis and i was not born with it. I was rear-ended 3 times in one yr and that did it. My back just got worse and worse. Now here it is, yrs. later (this happened in 1995) and i had to have my lumber fused in 2005. I had a 45 degree curve in my back which made me lean WAY to the right. After the surgery i was going to PT when my left hip and right knee started hurting. LONG story short, had knee surgery in Nov.2006 and total hip replacement 3 weeks ago. I believe this was caused by my scoliosis bc i lost 2 inches in height and my body was ALL out of whack??? And yes, you can visibly see my back is a little crooked but not the case with everyone. I think i just have a very bad case??????????????????????????
