I currently have a son, daughter, step-son, step-daughter, 3 nephews, neice, 5 cousins, 3 former brother in laws in Iraq.

I already lost a brother in Iraq, last summer. I'm retired military 34 years of service, having served over there in the 1st gulf war and the initial drive on bagdad in the current conflict.

Not since the civil war has my family had so many family members engaged in conflict in a war zone. What a waste of human life. I'd like to see Bush put his daughters in iraq on active duty.

I am a veteran and I have several friends still there. I have had 6 personal friends killed in action. It is affecting a lot of people. The problem is that even the troops are starting to wonder why we are there. I cant understand why so many of my friends are getting killed because bush is so hard headed.

No family, but 2 great long time friends of mine are recent vets, they both have PTSD and are pretty f-d up from their time there. I have three friends still there, one until August even though he has already been there almost a year. I also joined soldiers angels and correspond with two strangers who are now my friends.

A minimum of 250,000 and everyone is effected whether you have people in the military or not. All too many people are yelling BS about things they don't know about and they'll never know about because they are too chicken to join the military.

Yep lots of them. My husband has been to Iraq twice now, maybe a 3rd soon. Several friends of course, in an army setting.

My grandparents, parents are both in VN war, many of my cousins and relatives died fighting in VN war! We are proud of them; they died as a hero; they proved that there are still some brave and righteous in this generation; not all of us is coward!
