I can understand why you're worried, but give it a little more time. She's probably still trying to feel comfortable in her new home. We brought our puppy home at 7 weeks old, and she also didn't seem to eat much the first few days. It really helped for us to put the food in our hands and let her eat out of that. She seemed more comfortable when we hand fed her the first few times. But don't worry, when your puppy works up more of an appetite, she'll eat!
And make sure that you put the food out for about 20 minutes or so, and then take it away, even if she hasn't eaten anything. The puppy will quickly learn that when food is put out, she needs to eat right away. So at eight weeks old, you should put food out 3 times a day, and take away anything she hasn't eaten after 20 minutes.
If it really doesn't get better in the next day or so, try calling a vet or bringing her to the vet. They might check her out to see if anything's wrong, but most likely it's that your puppy is just trying to get a grip on all these new changes. :)

Let your puppy get adjusted to your house. Also, my dog is picky about what he eats - he will only eat a certain brand of dog food, he hates most of them and won't eat them. If your dog won't eat in a few days, take her to the vet,
I have a trick for getting your puppy to go outside, also. Hang a tiny bell on your door handle with string or whatever. Just a tiny little bell you can get at craft stores and such. Take some peanut butter and rub it on the bell, so when your puppy is just standing at the door, she will start licking the bell, and she will hear the noise, and will associate the noise with going outside and such. DO NOT keep putting PB on the bell when she gets the hang of it. So everytime she's standing at the back door, she will paw the bell or lick it, or something. Hope this works, it's worked with all my dogs! :D

Sometimes it just takes them a little time to get use to a new enviornment, she will probably eat when she settles in a little more. Did you find out what she was eating before you got her? Some times dogs won't eat something that is unfamiliar, they prefer what they have been used to. If you have tried the same food the breeders were feeding her, then it is probably just that she is too excited or stressed to eat. I think she will eat when she is ready, and don't worry unless she goes for more than a couple days without food or water. If she gets hungry enough, she will eat.
Something we always did to house train our dogs, was to just watch them very closely, don't take your eyes of her, and when she looks like she is going to go to the bathroom, like she starts sniffing around for a place to potty, hurry and take her to the door and scratch her paw at the door (we intstalled a bell on the end of a door jam, the spring kind, so she is actually ringing a bell to go out, and put one on the outside too, to ring when she comes in.) After she scratches/rings the bell, praise her and let her out, and then after she goes outside, praise her more and take her back to the door and scratch/ring the bell to come back in. Praise her after everystep, and every time you go in our out, follow the same steps, and if she is a smart dog, it should only take a week or two of this constant training and she will be able to ring the bell on her own when she wants to come in or go out. It has worked well for us for many years with many different dogs. Make sure you give her huge praises when she first does this by herself, praise and repetition is the key!!
Installing the bell is so easy, you just buy a door jam kit, it has a little round thing (shaped like a quarter) you attach to the wall with a screw, then you get a bell, like a jingle bell, and take the rubber end off the spring and attach the bell, then screw the spring into the thing attached to the wall. Very easy. And make sure you put it right next to the door, where it opens, a couple of inches from the floor.

Try mixing scrambled eggs with the puppy food, a little bit of the puppy food to start with, and a little more each time. I have done this in the past when we had trouble getting the puppy to eat. They really love the scrambled eggs, and it's perfectly safe for them to eat.

Well a couple of things, first if she is 8 weeks and you just got her I would strongly recommend a vet visit just to be sure all is well with her. If you purchased her from a reputable breeder, I would give him/her a call to find out exactly what food they were feeding your pup prior to your purchase, I am sure they will be able to help as well. Again, I strongly recommend a vet visit for this new pup. Good Luck..

I suggest talking to a vet to see if there's anything wrong, and if not, maybe he/she can help you pick out a type of food that your dog will eat.

First of all dont call the breeder he/she willnot tell you the truth. It could be an intestinal worm or something in the stomach. It could be the dog getting weirded out about being in a new place. You wont know until you go t a vet.

ok...my dog NEVER eats his food, all you have to do is give her a bite of PLAIN COOKED rice, if she likes it and seems to want more, show it to her as you put it in the bowl and make it a game, let her see it, take it away, let her see it, thenm move it around in circles and let her catch it. thats what i do when my dog wont eat. it works great. also, you could give her frozen peas, baby carrots, or little buddy treats, their wayyy to small for her to play with but to big to choke on, theyre great. GOOD LUCK!
oh yea...you could just take her to the vet!!!!!
