The best fish finder on the market Is a commercial grade model costing thousands of dollars. It's capable of reading bottom structure & fish at 1000 fathoms. For under $2,000 Furuno, Ray Marine, & Sitex make a good unit

Hummingbirds got one, don't know the model. It's got a 3D imaging and can show bottom structure like ships. The pics in the catalog were awesome. So was the price, around 2 grand. I'll stick with my cheap eagle.

The hummingbird 997c and 797c both come with gps and as mentioned above 3D side imaging. It'll cost you but nothing compares to them. You can see everything in the water with unbelievable detail. Good luck.

Fishfinders are good, but they don;t make the fish bite.
I use them only for Deep Sea fishing not fresh water,.
