Lucifer is going to punish all of God's creations that God finds that don't kiss his butt, yet Satan is in Hell because he did not kiss his butt either. Kind of sounds like birds of a feather and hence why would Satan punish people for all eternity. Do you really think that he rebelled against God, that he is still going to do God's bidding and punish those that God wants punished?

Patrone07: Do you ever answer a question? Why would someone who got kicked out of heaven do anything for God? Would Satan not welcome anyone and everyone with open arms who thinks God is a jerk? So what is his motivation? You state that he wants as many souls as possible, are souls like trading cards? What motivates him to do that?

Jennifer D: Really?!? So God wants the people punished and the Devil (who hates God) will do exactly as God wants? Does that even make sense?

Midge: You really need to read your Bible and quit making stuff up. Firstly, the angel rebellion in heaven was supposedly well before Jesus (your God becoming man) came down. Secondly, the assumption about the Devil is all conjecture, have you met him/her/it? Nobody has, just like nobody has met or even talked to God. However, your God in the Bible has MURDERED over 2 million people, with the Devil in single digits. Since actions speaking louder than words, which one is the evil that you talk about and which one isn't?

There is no legitimate motivation anywhere in their sacred texts except, essentially, that he's evil.

Yes it's a weak excuse, and no it doesn't make any sense that he would torture those who turned away from his enemy. If you go to hell you'd probably wind up with Satan and he says: "Hey I love your gall to realize the brutish immaturity of the big guy, have a beer."

That and it would make more sense that he's training and empowering the souls in his charge, preparing them to battle heaven.

Of course the whole thing is nonsense anyway.

You sound like you think Satan is a fellow human being. He is not a human at all. He thinks humans are so far below him it is not funny. He hates us. It was for this reason why he hates God to start with. He found out God was going to become a man. A being so far inferior to him that it disgusted him but, when he found out he would have to bow to a woman (Mary) that was too much. That especially is when he lost it and said he would not serve his master in this way. He would not do God's will. He likes nothing better than to humiliate Gods creation of man. He knows that God loves us, so now he can taunt God. He says to him "See what your creation is up to now?" "See how they dehumanize each other" "See what kind of base activities they are doing now?" "Look, they are no better than the animals you made them master over"

The word says satan comes to steal, kill, and destroy. He's roaming the earth seeking whom he may devour. He's not doing God's bidding and wont be doing God's bidding. It is not God's desire that no man should die lost. Those who end up with Satan, are his children. Satan wanted to BE God. Even he got sense enough to know that there IS God. So for some of you who would rather go to hell than be with the "Sky Captain", don't worry, you're on the right road.

Satan is Jealous of God. God loves his people and showers them with blessings. He has promised us in his word to the entitlement of "eternal salvation" if we believe in him and his son, Jesus. Satan. on the other hand, works to defile the name of God and his main motivation is to CONVINCE THE WORLD that GOD DOESN"T EXIST. The bible says that even the demons believe in him, and they tremble. Satan doesnt punish people for God, why would he want to do any thing God wants him to do? God says, Make a choice, me or him. Me, you live, not me, (or not to choose, which is a choice!) you die(or go to Satan's party, howeveer you want to look at it.). Satan says, hey come on, that's a load of crap, ignore it!!! By convincing us to ignore God, we unconsciously make the choice which isn't a choice, to reject God and eternal salvation.
Imagine a jerk that sees a pretty momma pushing a stroller with twins. The man grabs the cherry lollipops out of the kids hands and they begin to wail. Wouldn't that make mommy angry? That is what Satan tries to accomplish, to hurt God by denying him the ability to make his people happy. Jerk.
Neither God not Satan is essentially a punisher, they are sparring over your dedication, your soul. Heaven and hell aren't rewards and punishments Per Se, but they are the consequences of our decisions.

Seriously, no wonder you feel the way you do about God if that is what you believe is going on. If you want to know the truth then you might try starting over. Trust your gut feeling that this could not be what a loving God would do to His children and study to find the truth yourself.

I think you are missing something. Satan has not yet been locked in Hell, he is freely roaming the earth. He will be locked in hell with the unbelievers. Torturing the unbelievers will just be part of the package and not a favor for God.

The main reason he exists in peoples minds is, that its an easy way to convince people to believe in your religion. If you dont do this you will meet satan in hell, la la la. etc. He has no motivation because he doesn't exist. he is in people minds. His motivation inside of those minds is to keep people from doing wrong, because that is what they were taught to believe.

Lucifer was a chief angel in heaven, but he became jealous and envious towards God's position and throne.

Revelation 12:7-9
And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. 8 But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. 9 The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.

Isaiah 14:12-15
12 How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!

13 You said in your heart, "I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain.

14 I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High."

15 But you are brought down to the grave, to the depths of the pit.

Lucifer also called Satan hated the Jews because God chose the Jewish people, make his covenant thru Abraham, gave the land of Israel forever to occupy, to write the inspired Word of God, preach the gospel and bring forth the Messiah,Jesus Christ to die for sins of the world.

He took the form a snake in garden to decieve Adam and Eve.

Genesis 3:15
And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel."

2 Corinthians 11:14
And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.

Satan was so deceptive and powerful,he possessed Judas Iscariot,to bertray Christ for 30 pieces of silver.

Luke 22:1-5
Now the Feast of Unleavened Bread, called the Passover, was approaching, 2 and the chief priests and the teachers of the law were looking for some way to get rid of Jesus, for they were afraid of the people. 3 Then Satan entered Judas, called Iscariot, one of the Twelve. 4 And Judas went to the chief priests and the officers of the temple guard and discussed with them how he might betray Jesus. 5 They were delighted and agreed to give him money.

For all un-believers and those who reject Christ free gift of salvation will face the same eternal punishment as Satan,False Prophet, Antichrist, his demons, angels and those who follow him by taking his mark (666) during the 7 years of the Great Tribulation.

Revelation 12:10-12
Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say:
"Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night,
has been hurled down. 11They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. 12Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you!
He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short."

Revelation 20:1-3
And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain. 2He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. 3He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time.

Revelation 20:7-10
When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison 8and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth—Gog and Magog—to gather them for battle. In number they are like the sand on the seashore. 9They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God's people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them. 10And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Lucifer wants to be like God. That was his intention since the begining, his pride blinded him by thinking that he can be like God. Yet, Satan knows he has a short time left..so he is trying his hardest to get as many souls for himself..
