I have more and more friends that have quit drinking and now they smoke pot on Friday nights at home to unwind. These are people in their mid 50's. These people work hard and have always unwinded their work week with a few drinks at happy hour on Fridays. They got tired of the Sat am hangovers so now they unwind at home with weed. Do any of you know anyone like this?

I've been pretty much the same way. I drank alot in my early-mid 20s, but once the 30s roll around your body just doesn't want to deal with hangovers and all the crap that alcohol does to you. It is much easier on the body to just smoke some weed. I imagine that is even more true in your 40s and 50s.

Yes, I think it is the cost of drinking verses the cost of weed. If you go out for a few drinks and drive you risk a DUI but if you go home and some pot the chances of getting caught are a lot less. Me I would be scared I would get a drug test from work to may chances for both. The risk are to high

If you have to live with your head in a cloud, it's better to smoke pot than to drink alcohol. It takes a lot longer to kill you and I've never seen somebody high on pot go into a killing rage...Well, except for a bag of chips maybe.

I don't like the stupid way I feel when I smoke it so don't bother. There are other ways to relax that don't screw with your mental abilities.

I said a piece of writing on it presently. i'm not the least bit a great deal surprised by technique of it. there's a pot revolution coming and that i does not be a great deal surprised if that's criminal to consumers over 21 interior the subsequent 5 years, if not quicker. inspect this documentary on the heritage Channel observed as, "Hooked: unlawful drugs and how They were on condition that way-The heritage of Marijuana". It covers plenty about the justifications and issues that led as a lot as pot turning out to be unlawful interior the 1930's. you'd be a great deal surprised at that authentic causes that's unlawful today.

Yes. I think the occasional, or moderate use of pot is less detrimental to the body than alcohol. This becomes especially appealing as the physical effects of aging become more apparent.
