I live in Daytona, yet I've never been to a race. I'm not looking forward to paying outrageous prices for a beer. Does anyone know if we can bring our own alcohol into the stands?

This is officical fan info. We were there a couple of years ago and if it's in a small cooler its okay. But check this info to make sure it hasn't changed.

yes you can, in a small, soft sided cooler. NO GLASS. beer in cans only. if you want to bring liquer, put it in an unmarked bottle, like an empty 2 liter pepsi bottle. or you can carry in airplane bottles in your pockets. you can also bring your own food in, instead of overpaying for racetrack food. have a great time, NASCAR is by far the coolest sport to see live. i've been to dozens and dozens of races. unfortunately, i've only been to the 500 once, in 1992 when davey allison won.

Yes you can do it. It has to be a small cooler though. Check out the website for the track to see what size it can be.

Hell yea, but it has to be in a cooler no larger than 20", a small playmate.
