I hope you aren't actually reading this but are already at the hospital as this is probably a haematemesis (vomiting of blood - often from an ulcer) . It constantly amazes me how people come on here and calmly discuss symptoms that would have had me running immediately to A & E! At the very least, you should have called NHS24 (in the UK). Good luck - let us know what happens!

You need to visit the doctor, sooner rather than later. When vomit is black it is usually digested blood that has come up from the stomach. This suggests that there has been a bleed, perhaps from an ulcer but impossible to tell without tests.

Black vomit may indicate the presence of changed blood (digested ) in the vomit. If this is the case it could be important. Do you have any history of ulcer or have you taken any anti-inflammatory drugs recently (Brufen/Aspirin) either of these might increase the odds of bleeding.

In any case you should see your GP

any time you vomit black stuff, it's considered a medical emergency. You may feel fine, but the damage is done. Suggest if that happened, you see your doctor asap.

thats not good at all, despite feeling fine now you need to get medical help. if your in the uk ring the nhs helpline, they have fantastic advice. 0845 46 47. they can tell you what to do and what they thibk it may be

It is serious unless you were vomiting cola or coffee.
