A practice nurse is a nurse who works within a doctors practice, doing injections, clinics etc.
A nurse practitioner is a nurse who does more of a doctors duties (usually in hospital) - minor operations, etc. Last time I had an op I had a nurse practitioner sewing up one side of my pretty lil face, and a doctor doing the other. The nurse did a better job by the way.

A practise nurse works for a GP and employed by him. They can be any grade or level of training.

I have never heard of a practise nurse. There are practice nurses though.
