It's simply because Vista sucks. Haven't you seen the new Mac commercial yet lol.

You bought Vista.

It's a huge new software package. Microsoft is notorious for not working out all the bugs for at least a year-18 months after roll-out. We typically recommend not buying a new OS until at least Service Pack One is out.

It means your program has mis-behaved and Vista hasnt been able to refresh the sreen, caz your mis behaving program is hogging all memory/cpu. Once you kill your program, that memory/cpu is freed up for Vista to refresh your screen

You jumped the gun. You bought a program that has not had the bugs worked out yet. It doesn't always pay to be ahead of the jones'.

LOL, there is no blue screen of death in windows vista because they deleted it. vista wont tell you it crashed.
