I had this program. It sat on your desktop. There were these small boxes that contained different things, such as the news, sports, RSS feeds etc. It also had other add on boxes with different functions. I think the program ends in "it". But i am not sure. Any feedback would be helpful. The program has an online site where you can download additional "boxes" to addon.

it is not a widget...very similar to widgets, but these a tiny boxes.

Surley you mean Widgets, as in the Widgets that come standard with all Apple Macs, Vista and now the Yahoo Widgets?

Your software must have been Konfabulator (widgets.yahoo.com)
A widget comes in all shapes and sizes. So it CAN be a square widget.
