Urgency to go to the loo a burning sensation when you go and although feeling desperate you only pass a dribble.

drink plenty of water and cranberry juice

you can get something from the pharmacy if you get desperate.

try to avoid not drinking enough water and empty bladder after intercourse and finally wipe ur bum from front to back... it is all preventative and stops germs entering the bladder.

wanting to pass water all the time & when you do it's painful - sometimes there is blood in your urine (if this is the case or you feel weak and tired or your symptoms persist see a dr).

if you have it keep drinking water & get some satchets from the chemist - should make you feel better quickly (they're definately worth trying - i found the ones containing potassium weren't as effective as the others). ibuprofen can also help especially if you're in pain as they are an anti-inflammatory x

eta. drink cranberry juice but not too much - i drank a ltr and gave myself a bad stomach at the same time as the cystitis (was desperate waiting for chemists to open!)

Increased need to go, a burning sensation on doing so with very little being passed, cloudy, dark or strong smelling urine and it can make you feel generally unwell. Try drinking more water and if you like the taste, cranberry juice.
See a Doctor and take a specimen with you. It is easily treated. It needs anti-biotics and if not treated can spread up from the bladder to the kidneys!

A need to urinate more often. You feel like you really need to go and when you do, nothing much comes out. Really painful to have a wee. Sometimes, you can get a little blood in your urine - this is from your tubes being a little irritated. DONT get over the counter remedies - you need to your GP or NHS walk in centre who can quicly diagnose you and give you appropriate antibiotics. If you don't get it treated, it can go up into the bladder and cause more pain. Drink lots of water and cranberry juice but this will not cure it, just sooth the symptons.

Pain, burning and frequency if the infection is confined to the bladder. The urine may be cloudy, smelly and bloodstained. If the infection has spread beyond the bladder there may be groin and loin pain and fever. These symptoms are more serious.

Believe me I am probably the most anti antibiotic doctor you are ever likely to be in contact with. However I believe we should treat all UTI with antibiotics. If you have symptoms contact your GP.

A frequent desire to urinate and a burning sensation during urination. Pain is felt in the pubic bone and lower back region. Frequent urination during night. Urine is cloudy and sometimes contains some blood. But sometimes there are no symptoms, especially in the elderly.

peeing a lot and it hurts. Go and see your doctor. Not something to put up with. There is a cure, or at least prevention. You may have a [urinary tract infection]. Cranberry juice is good.

you'll feel like you need a wee every 5 mins, even when you've just been and when you get there you can't wee ! when you do wee it burns.

It is cleared up easily, either see your doctor or ask at your local chemist
