I'm sure the Orthodontist knew the tooth was about to come out just from looking at your x rays and he has planned on you loosing it too. He's mainly concerned with the permanent ones and getting them into the correct position right now. You probably gave him one less to have to worry with! Your fine, no need to worry! Good luck and congrats on the new braces!

I'm assuming it was a primary (baby) tooth? If so, it won't be a hassle at all. Your orthodontist was probably aware that you would lose it sometime soon by looking at your initial x-rays. When they place your brackets, they will just skip right over the space, no problem. Once your permanent tooth drops down enough, they will place a bracket on it and slowly pull it into alignment. No need to stress out. :) Be excited - you'll have a beautiful smile before too long!

check with the orthodontist, perhaps it was a tooth that was expected to be lost to make more room for your teeth to move after the braces.

call the dentist to confer. Was it a "baby" tooth? If so, probably. If it was a "permanent tooth" the dentist might want to re-plan a bit.
