He says I gave it to him, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't me!! Should I wait for proof, or do you think I should leave?? He said he might have just scratched himself. I don't know what to believe!!!

Look, there is noway you can mistake a hickey for a scratch. He says you gave it to him. Well, I have been know to end up with a hickey or 2 and not know it. A hickey is nothing for than a bruise that is sucked to the surface of the skin. It maybe as simple as you did put it there and he just doesn't bruise easily. It could've have taken a day or so for it to show up, or neither of you noticed it until a couple of days later. Either way, I would give him the benefit of doubt and see if any other signs show up before labeling him a cheater. Now if he ends up coming home with some panties that don't belong to you, do even believe him when he says they're a gift for you.

Hickies do not look like scratches and honestly, look into it first and if you find that in fact he is cheating on you...leave him. There is no need to be in a relationship when trust is broken.

RED FLAGS........personally....if you dont KNOW that you gave him this hickey and then he changed his story......scratched himself?? REALLY??? Have you EVER seen someone get a hicky looking mark from a scratch???

Are you the sort of person who routinely gives hickeys to your lover? Or do you rarely give hickeys? It could have been you. Has your boyfriend ever cheated on you or been known to cheat? Is there any situation where your boyfriend could have scratched himself and gotten a cut in his neck? He could have cheated and if you have good reason to believe he did, dump him and find a nicer guy.

Don't leave until you confirm. Just act normal, and observe him. I wouldn't jump into a conclusion.
But, why are you thinking about leaving? Has he been unfaithful to you before? Do you trust him? or Do you have the gut feeling he is cheating on you?
Usually gut feelings are well funded!!

Hickeys do not look like scratches and scratches do not look like hickeys. You should remember whether you gave it to him or not.
Girls who go after other girls men like to do things to let them know their boyfriend is cheating. A well-placed hickey is a classic ploy. Another trick is leaving earrings in their car or lingerie.
I would keep your eyes open for anything else. I kind of doubt this is nothing.

Get proof and ask him questions!! Remeber if you ever even put a hicky on him and if you don't remeber, the chances are he might have gottone it frome somewhere or someone....Good Luck!

ok he just said you gave it to him then tells you he might have scratched himself.. Girlfriend let me tell you I think he is cheating on you. I would put him on notice and at the very next sign I would be gone....

well... if you're sure you didn't give it to him... just make sure it isn't a bruise... cause I mean it'd be different if it was lipstick or something cause hickey's take a while to give O.O, so if it got there by some other girl and not just something that he hit or bumped into by accident... then you should totally leave..., but the question is do you trust him?

don't be dumb and have some diginity....if ur pretty sure u didn't give him the hickey and u have the gut feeling say good bye to him...as simple and as easy as that
