I've lived in Florida my entire life. Because of that, I've never seen snow. It also gets REALLY hot during the summer. I like it because since it's it's hot, you can go to the beach or something. Plus, Disney World is here!!

I live in fla. and what I like is the winter weather as in no snow or real cold. I lived up north for so long.
What I dislike about it is the traffic, the homes too close together and the low wages for people who are not college grads, but still have a trade.
Most companies want you to work for alot less than up north and do the same job as there are very few unions so they can do as they please with you.
The last thing is the high cost of life here, it used to be reasonable but house prices, taxes and house insurance are way out of line.
I have thought of moving back up north but don't think I could ever put up with the winter weather.

The humidity was terrible and OMG the price of living is so high! I moved away over 10 years ago and I tell everyone Florida is a beautiful place to visit but don't ever live there.

I lived in Ft. Lauderdale for 4 years and LOVED it! It gets a tad crowded in the winter with the "snowbirds", but the summer can't be beat as far as good service, no need for lines at the bank or anywhere else. I'm from CA, but it only took about 3 weeks for me to get used to the humidity (I moved there at the end of June). I don't think I'd have ever come back to CA, but there was illness in my family that needed attending to.

I am moving to Florida for my b/f's job and I am going to watch the answers since I have been doing research on Florida to see what it is like. I see they have a higher murder rate than the entire nation and that to me is pretty scary...is it really that bad there? We are moving to Tallahassee.

I like every thing but the prices. I think some things could be a little cheaper. And some people act like they can't drive. Not to mention I spent a lot of money on clothes and everything shrunk.

Its so damn hot and humid . . you shower & your thong sticks right up your back end once you go outside. Its a tough summer time. ... hot guys & cool drinks all day long though. GET SOME!
