Patty, I was born in Texas and only know this way of life. I love the Texas traditions, the diversity of the state ( truly outstanding barbecue and Mexican food ), the different regions here... mountains, valleys, hills, lakes, and I'm one hour from an uncrowded beach. Mild winters, but I admit, the summers are rough !! I love the fact that we are still ranchers running cattle, but at the same time, the biggest oil and gas companies in the US are in Houston. The Port of Houston is one that international trade passes through daily. Without Texas refineries operating 24/7. the rest of America would suffer. Plus, and last, I just love the Southern way of life. We don't care if people make fun of the way we talk and all of our cowboy hats, it's alright with us.

I live in the southeast part of Arizona and I love the land scape. In any direction I look from my property I see mountains and foothills. It is not the greenest place nor warmest or coldest, but it can be very beautiful.
