So suggesting that you call it one of your pet names for each other is out then? LoL.

Actually, that's a sort of serious suggestion - do you have a pet name for your boyfriend that might be suitable for a cat/kitten?

Otherwise, why not name the kitten after the place where you met or where you went on a first date? After a drink that you both like or a film that you've both enjoyed? Your first meal together?

... so what could that make my suggestions??? - Night Club, Cinema, Sambucco, Holiday,Lobster, Rice Pudding - ???

Even the date that you met might be suitable .... eg February might be a good name ... or Fourteen ... in any case at least it would be an unsual name.

Anyway, hope these suggestions help you to think of something appropriate.

Well considering the relationship wont last (chances are, sorry), don't call it anything that will remind you of him. Some people have tattoos of people they loved once but not any more and having a cat with the wrong name is far more serious. You don't want to be changing the cats name, confusing the thing.

Call it Sagat.

That is so cute! Go to http://www.bowwow.com.au/ and click 'pet names search engine' on the left hand side column. Find a list of names to match the cat's / kitten's gender and find a theme for it like personality matches, food, famous people etc. Good luck!

How about Cupid? That is if it's a boy. You could also call it Amore for a boy or a girl. For a girl maybe you could call her Snuggles.

Here are some boy and girl names meaning love:

Boy- Amerie(Latin), Eros(Greek)

Girl- Ai(Chinese), Aloha(Hawaiian), Amora(Spanish), Caris(Welsh), Karenza(Cornish), Lalasa(Indian)

Or you could simply name him or her simply Love.

You have to call it Valentine. Don't call it anything stupid as you'll be so embarassed when you have to give its name at the vet.

'Valentine' is good, it celebrates your love and you'll feel all in love and romantic everytime you call her/him.
