Going for a one-on-one date with someone you barely know can be awkward. That's why you start in groups of men and women who are similar in age. Just talk to them and be yourself. Eventually you will find a few guys who are interested in you or you are interested in them. Participate in the activities that the group sponsors.

Team sports and square dancing clubs for singles can be great opportunities.

Take the skills you learned at work and apply them to your personal life.

Go to some events on campus and just start up a conversation. Keep your smile bright and your wits about you. Say Hi or ask them a question about what's happening around you.

You'd be surprised by the amount of people that are just as shy as you are and are only hoping someone will say Hi!

You've just got to start somewhere. The sooner you start the more friends you'll have by the time the weeks over. Good luck!

When you are at work and the weather is just great, make a comment to your customer about how it stinks to work with the weather so nice, it might lead into more conversation. Or if they look like they are on their way to work(so no big conversation possible)tell them to enjoy their day at the office,or offer them a menu to take back to work, maybe generate extra business as well as more people to try your new lines on. Remember to ask the next day if the menu was received well. Also, take a college course, more people your age and you would have something in common because of the classes.

Not all of your questions will be answered with a thorough thought of your circumstances.

You want answers...you want the truth so here it is...

When a Snake searches for food at night or day...it tastes with its' tongue to search down prey or should the prey come into vision.

The Snake strikes with force and squeezes its' prey to death or inject venom and waits for death to succomb and then swallow its' meal.

You are the Mouse lets say and he is the Snake.

How do you know when you have encountered a Snake and not a decent human being that understands you?

Don't go out so much at night when Snakes are on the prowl and not decent humans.

Don't stay in one place too long for the Snake to creep up on you.

Keep moving my friend and that is what dating is all about.

If nobody is going to talk to you, then they aren't going to be able to ask you to 'date' them ... so I think that you should pick a 'nice young man' who has been 'friendly' and ask him to do something 'fun' with you ... even just for a 'walk in the park.' I ADMIRE YOU for knowing that you are 'too young to think about settling down' and that you just want to 'date different people' for awhile ... so GOOD LUCK. And if the first one says 'NO' don't worry about it ... just keep asking until someone says YES. And while you are doing the 'asking' also leave yourself a 'bit more open' so you'll learn to tell what a young man wants ... because most of them are 'shy' about asking a girl out, too ... so if one 'hears you' asking a guy and he says no, the 'shy one' might just ask you out ... and you can always say 'yes' ...

first off, it appears to me that you are putting yourself into a mindstate that says it's bad to be single.

when you think like that, you'll come to hate being single, even though there's nothing wrong with it.

as well, when you're looking for something, it's generally harder to find.

i've never been very gregarious, unless i already felt comfortable around the people i'm talking to. in such a case, no one could even guess at how shy i actually am.

just go on, living life normally. things will come to you instead, eventually. and of course, it doesn't hurt if you smile at handsome guys, and mouth the word "hi"

honestly no longer something. i admire the way they "push the envelope" and attempt particularly some issues. I supply Andre 3000 factors for being a "style icon" and not conforming to what each and every physique else "thinks" a guy has to gown like. i think of they take their time and make song that each and every physique loves and is well worth waiting for. I can tell you one thing I feel almost the same way as you and I think the best thing to do is try to find someone you just can get along with and maybe if your lucky it will turn into something more.
