hi
you can do that to stop those thoughts:
Listen for your worried, self-critical, or hopeless thoughts.
Decide that you want to stop them. ("Are these thoughts helping me?")
Reinforce your decision through supportive comments ("I can let go of these thoughts.")
Mentally yell "stop!" (Snap rubber band on wrist.)
Begin Calming Counts.
I hope that help you.

When I am feeling like that I ask myself why (introspection)- is it based on emotions, am I feeling insecure, PMS, or am I just lashing out. It is usually masking as something else. I think in order to get rid of the negativity you have to understand why you are feeling negative to begin with. Before you react to a situation you should think before you overreact. Once you understand why you are feeling that way then you can rationally decide how to deal with that feeling. It is usually not worth feeling negative over.

If I get really pissed off I just have to find a way to cool off by doing a 30 second countdown or by distracting myself with something else or just breathing deeply (like meditating)
Hope this helps

Train your mind to think positive thoughts. When you start to think negatively, simply say "STOP"! Slowly but surely the negativity will go away. Be patient; it takes time.

whenever I find myself in a negative train of thought, I literally say, "stop it" out loud. Then find a better train of thought to replace it. It takes persistence and commitment, but this method really does work.
