for the past week all I have thought about is this super cute girl ive met and hung out with a few times. we called each other, texted, etc, but over the past few days we havent talked as much or hung out.
today i invited her to lunch
her response: "ahh i would but I just got asked to lunch like 15min ago by a couple of my sisters! sorry"
by sisters she means sorority sisters (were in college).
anyways..I am wondering if I should just not text/call her for all of today/night and see if she contacts me as a way of seeing if she is missing me, or if that is a terrible idea and I should take the initiative because she is waiting?

to expand on this: she has asked me if I wanted to grab lunch before too...but i had class.
so it isnt totally one way in this area

Ok, so we know she's not shy... so she might call you. If she doesn't call you for the next 3 days, move on. If you really, really like her, however, ask her out for a coffee or something casual-more casual than a lunch.

Don't play games whatever you do. If you are ignoring her just to get a responce, you are headed for a lot of crap. Things need to be forward and up front. She may be losing interest. If so, you cannot make her change her mind. I would go and have some fun with my friends. If you want to text her and say hi, do so. If things continue to taper off, consider it a sign that this was not a good match anyway. You do want to be with someone who is just as interested in you as you are in her.

I would wait a few days. You don't want to seem like you are desperate and when she hasn't heard from you, she will want you more.
I would wait until Monday to contact her again. And, then you can tell her about the awesome weekend you just had, too. Or, if she contacts you, you can have a date with her this weekend.

girls won't call guys, they think it makes them look needy. Try calling her another day and ask how her lunch was. This way, you can also figure out if she really DID have plans for lunch

I think you should give it a try, leave her alone for the night, if she doesnt get back to you its only one day missed. if she doesnt get back to you by tomarrow it doesnt mean she doesnt like you, she just might be buisy. give her a call soon though, you dont want her to loose intrest/ think you lost intrest, but dont act to into her, you dont want her to think your a stalker :)

Ignore her. If she wants you, she'll contact you. If she doesn't, then you won't be wasting your time. She knows you're interested, so let her make the next move.
