Earlier I saw someone talking about a vaginal ultrasound. Both my mother and my sister had one they said it really hurts. I go for my first ultrasound next week and I'm praying they don't do a vaginal ultrasound on me.

You will only need a vaginal ultrasound if they cant see the baby with the normal ultrasound.
I needed one as I was only 2 & 1/2 weeks along, so they couldnt see anything with the normal ultrasound as it was too small.
The vaginal ultrasound didnt actually hurt me, it was just really uncomfortable, like a pap smear. I am unsure why it hurt your Mum and sister, maybe they didnt relax ( you have to relax so it doesnt hurt)

The ultrasound is important to have because it shows the first heartbeat. The more relaxed u r the better it is on your body. The wand is warm and ask the nurse to tell u what she is going to do. That will help u relax.

they really dont hurt i had a lot of problems in my pregnancy and i had several the only thing that may bother you is the pressure because you have to pee and there pushing other than that no real pain good luck and dont worry you will be fine

i promise it doesnt hurt at all.......its just a piece of hard plastic with a condom on it and doesnt last for even 2 mintues.trust me and dont worry....if you've already had sex its even less of a worry
