Ask around, like neighbors, or businesses that have tile that you like.

We found an excellent tiler by word-of-mouth who was cheap, fast, AND good. Ask for recommendations, and also ask them how much they paid to get an idea of what's fair.

We had two floors tiled: one size 14'6"x11' and the other size 4'6"x7' then the tiler tiled around the work-top. This cost us about 600 euros in Co Roscommon in 2006.

Hope this helps you - we don't know if it was a fair price though

i also live in ireland, but its north east. tilers get anything up to £100 a day, but for smaller jobs ask them to do it for a price, instead of a set rate. good luck and try not to get stroked.

tilers usually charge around £20.00----£25.00 a square meter? if you are fairly competent have a go yourself? might take a bit longer but you will save a fortune? invest in a electric tile cutter,i have they are about £30.00 and used properly are fantastic.

I'm in Canada... not far away... you could hire me to come and tile for you... I do wonderful work... I assure you I would be less expensive than anyone you find locally...ceramic, marble, slate, inside and outside... it is warmer in Ireland isn't it? :)
