You have to find the best way to work for you. Some people can go cold turkey but most can't. I would cut back and start to find other ways to spend your time and keep your mind busy. Cause if you don't think about smoking it will be easier to quit

The way it worked for me. I only had one cigarette at 3AM, I had 2 more hours work to do, and the store did not open for another hr. I told my self I would want one after work more than now. Make a long couple of weeks, short. every time I wanted a smoke, I would say I am going to wait 3 minutes before I lite up. Some times during that 3 minutes I would take a cigarette and smell of it. I carried my lighter, and cigarettes for a year and 2 months. When they got so dry I would throw that package away and go buy another one. Carried them for my friends that did not the will to quit.
I had been smoking for 30 plus years, and was lighting 4 packs a day the night I decided to quit. A few times I forgot and got the cigarette in my mouth, and had my lighter lit, before I remembered I had quit. Never did get one lit.

I told every one, I have not quit, I am just not smoking right now. That is the way I still am. I haven`t had one since April 1976. But I may have one tomorrow.

first step in stopping smoking....decide you don,t want to smoke........step three ,don,t light the cigarette....step two, don,t buy the cigarette.....discount step three if two applies......thought for the day.....50% of the male population will not kiss you ,that,s fine if you happen to be male ...if your a girl then pour some water onto your fag ash and sniff it......that,s what your breath, hair and body smell like to a none smoker..your lungs are black and you have no money...you cough...don,t breath correctly and die a terrible death...i think if you make three years without a gasper then you have beat it.....a lung will clear itself in time but not if it,s too late...........sheeesh what do i know
