I would prefer recipe options that do not require frying or using large amounts of butter. I am sure those recipes are tasty but they are a bit fattening.

Melted I can't believe its not butter, garlic and lemon pepper. Dip in mixture and cook in nonstick pan or griddle.

Add a mushroom butter sauce.

The next time you buy fish, buy wild fish (not farm raised or wild caught) since the flavor will keep during freezing.

My recipe for mushroom butter sauce:

1 blue container of sliced mushrooms (from the produce department) placed in a fry pan with salt (to keep the mushrooms from leaking). Add 1/2 stick of butter. Stir to coat all of the mushrooms. Add 1/2 cup of white wine and simmer until reduced to syrup.

Whiting Fillets

2 servings 20 min 10 min prep

2 eggs
2 teaspoons baking powder
4 tablespoons flour
whiting fish fillets cut into strips & fried in batter

work flour, baking powder and eggs together, (if too thick, add some milk).
clean the fish and cut into strips.
dip into the flour and then into the batter mixture and fry in very hot oil.
serve with any sauce of your choice, try sweet & sour, or chili sauce both are very nice. You could add a rice side dish and geen salad and you've got it made. Good luck.

If you are going to fry the fish, try using crushed salt and vinegar chips. I do this when I cook it for my grandchildren. It tasts delicious
