Yes it is possible to die of a broken heart. Many times when a spouse passes and they have been together for quite some time (like 30 - 40 years) the surviving spouse never really gets over the loss and only survives a short time afterwards.

Not exactly. It IS possible to die from stress. If you have a broken heart, it is possible to cause yourself so much stress that you have a mental breakdown or a heart attack. Technically, however, it was not the broken heart that did it. It was the stress. If someone feels that much stress, they really should go to the doctor. It is not healthy to stress yourself over anything to the point of getting sick; even love. It is not worth it.

yes, if you have any type or coronary problem, you technically have a broken heart, and heart attcks, with their many causes, are one of the leading killers of people. Also, if you were talking in the sense of love, then yes, it is also possible to die from a broken heart because that can lead you into a spiraling depression which could lead to suicide, or even a collapse of the heart muscle itself.

Yes it is... Personal experience... I came home from work one night to find my home almost completely empty, boyfriend gone, took all his stuff, some of mine... no note, no phone call nothing. He died a while back. When it first happened I laid on the floor for days, with the phone in my hand, crying all the time. Hand a breakdown. It felt like someone had cracked my chest and was trying to pull my heart out! I've never experienced pain like that before. But, it really does physically hurt. And the depression, severe depression that follows is paralyzing. Not to mention the insecurity issues and abandonment issues that follow.

No. No, no, no, no. Anyone who says they did a study. Bull. Not from a broken heart. And there is nothing worth giving up the desire to live, either.
