Soca is on my mind right now as Carnival is right around the corner. Some well known songs are "Who let the Dogs Out" originally recorded by Anslem Douglas and then re-recorded by the Baja Men and Hot, Hot Hot originally by Arrow. It is a genre of music loved by the people of Trinidad and Tobago - and I most definitely listen to it.

Soca is a musical form originated in Trinidad and Tobago by a calypsonian named Lord Shorty. It is a fusion of soul music and calypso. I listen to it, as do most Trinidadians.

Yes. Thought to have been invented by Ras Shorty I, while it's constantly evolving, I love it. I listen to it every single day. I prefer soca from Trinidad, Barbados, St. Vincent & Antigua, but I tend to like songs from most islands.
