Unfortunately, cats are a lot like humans in that they frequently like things that aren't very good for them. Flavored yogurt is a good example. Yogurt is good for people. It's good for cats who can tolerate lactose. In fact, cats who have trouble with lactose can sometimes handle yogurt better than regular milk because the process destroys most of the lactose. The problem is that all the extra sugar put into flavored yogurt isn't good for the cat (or you either but I'm not going to lecture you about that! :-)

The fermentation process is yogurt making eliminates the problem of lactose intolerance.
Human food in small quanitities cannot do great damage to a cat. Lots of deli meats, tuna, salty processed foods etc. are not good to give to your cat. If you want to share yogurt with your cat you can do so. Even fruit yogurt though probably has too much sugar for your cat and cats don't process fruits well in their digestive systems - might cause some diarrhea.

Okay I have a cat who loves yogurt. In fact, he eats a whole one all by himself. Only vanilla or plain flavored though. I don't know what fruit will do to him. In my experience, it just makes him gassy and that's it. He never got the runs or anything. He only gets the yogurt like twice a month. So just be careful about how much you give your cat. Mine can handle it just fine but yours might have some trouble. Every kitty is different.

I think the vanilla yogurt without fruit is O.K. to give cats in small amounts. Cats don't need milk or dairy products (except when they are kittens nursing their mothers). Water is all they need to drink

Plain yogurt is prescribed as a natural cure for diarrhea. A little won't hurt as long as you don't go overboard. If she likes the fruit flavors it's fine. Our Siamese likes anything fruity, we have to hide the bananas.

I don't think the yogurt would harm her, I just wouldn't overdue it, in case it would have a lactose intolerance.

No, i do not think that is a good idea because cats are only supposed to have milk when they are kittens. If you give them milk when they are older, then it will set off their digestive track and you will have problems.
