I'm just wondering if you are having a reaction to the anasthetic used during your operation. With some injections, changes take place about 3 months afterwards. If your symptoms started shortly after the operation you might suspect that there are drug relate side-effects happening.
You might consider seeing a naturopath to see if there's a way to recover from your symptoms.
You have to realize that right now, while you are feeling really bad, this is not the time to make life changing decisions. Ask yourself, If I were happy would I want to live? Have you asked yourself how this would affect your boyfriend? Maybe he can help you to deal with what you are going through?
I think you are making a mistake not taking antidepressants. If your symptoms of depression pass quickly then you may not need antidepressants but you should get some supplements to build up your neurotransmitter inventory. Naturopaths can help with that as antidepressants do nothing to increase neurotransmitter levels. All they do is recycle them and hope the body continues to produce more neurotransmitters so the levels increase.
I know that doctors play pin the tail on the donkey when it comes to knowing which antidepressants will work for you. Again, I suggest seeing a naturopath because I've had no side effects from the supplements I got. Its impossible to have happy thoughts when you are low on neurotransmitter levels (contrary to all these religious and positive thinking people who offer all kinds of wild ideas that just don't work with a depressed brain).
My wife just keeps telling me to think positive thoughts. If I wasn't depressed that would probably work. Even without thinking anything bad I just get really depressed at times even with the antidepressants. The first one I tried really set me back with all kinds of side effects. The supplements helped me reduce the side effects until I switched prescriptions and have few side effects now. Still, there are times when the depression comes on suddenly and I try to get through it as best I can. My wife is very supportive so use the support you can get via your boyfriend and therapist.
One last note: therapists are like the blind leading the blind. If they haven't suffered from depression then how can they really relate to what you are going through? There are numerous websites like depression fallout which have news groups you can subscribe to. Lots of people on there know what depression is like and may be able to help you better. But I'd still keep seeing a therapist. Sometimes it takes a while to try several different ones to find the person who's right to help you.
Good luck! We're hootin for ya!

Alot of times depression has little to do with the circumstaces of your life and more to do with the chemical in your brain. If you have tried therapy and it hasn't worked, consider trying the antidepressants if you just can't take it anymore.

Antidepressants can be hard to come off of once you are on them, but depending on your current situtation, the benfits may really be worth it.

You can also look into nutritional and natural supplements that may help before hitting the actual meds.

Good luck.

hmmm its a personal decition but anti-depressants saved my life. some people just have a chemical imbalance in thier brain, and there is nothing counceling can do to completly fix that. it can help....but it will ALWAYS cach up with you. I refused meds too...until i couldnt anymore, and i gave them a shot.

they didnt make me happy...they just made me normal[w/e that is]. they just made me not sad all the time. i could get out of bed again without crying. I still get sad all the time, but everybody gets sad. its just not so bad....

id say to give it a shot. it cant hurt anyone and you can always quit. but altimently you and in charge of you and only you can make that decition.

good luck doll! BIG HUG[because it seems like you need one right now].

purely you are able to understand how lots texting is to lots because of the fact each physique has a various definision!!! i think of a few ppl like 2 text cloth lots, and different ppl want 2 communicate or merely no longer even communicate. If the girl u like likes 2 text cloth that's a good sign that she is in 2 you and if u text cloth her lots she would be able to need 2 meat in person who's much greater effective!!

Drugs never fix anything. Drink catnip tea and chamomile tea. And work at being happy. Sometimes it takes effort.

I am not one to advocate taking any kind of drugs but maybe you should listen to your Dr. and take a mild form of antidepressant.

You need to write down what you just posted and say it EXACTLY as written to your therapist.

That's the only person (with your honesty and desire to get better) who can help you.
