When my Firefox download fails I am left with a PART file, is there any way to continue the download WITHOUT having to download the file again all the way from the start.

yeah i think so but you have to go to tools and downloads or add-ons, not for sure which one and download some sort of extra for firefox, just search through them and you should be able to find it

You will need 2 things, the flashgot extension and a download manager. A download manager can resume a download if it is interrupted. It can also speed up downloads by dividing it in to several segments. The flashgot extension integrates the download manager in to Firefox. So, when you click on a download link, the download manager will automatically turn n and begin the download.

1. Flashgot https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/220/
2. Free Download Manager http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/

Free Download Manager is my favorite download manager but other good choices are: LeechGet, GetRight, and WellGet.

In FF, hit Ctrl+J to open your downloads window and look for the failed download. If it is there, you can try the resume link. Some websites are not setup to allow resuming a download so in that case, you will have to start over.
