hi there. It is apparent that these two do not have the compatibility factor and their behaviour is normal exhibiting competition between the same sex. This can be seen especially during the time of sexual maturity. Separation is the answer in my opinion They also may be aggressive towards each other to determine who is the alpha male. 1-800-625-0874 is a DNA facility to determine the sex of your birds should there be any question. It costs about 20 dollars. You may consider trading one male for a female but of course that might lead to offspring. http://www.dovepage.com/ is a web page that can help you with nutrition and care of these birds plus the different species of dove. Have a great year and may you enjoy them and they enjoy you.

I have Doves myself and have noticed the fighting that goes on between the males. There are a lot of reasons why they are fighting. I don't know what you have them in but if the cage is to small they have to much interaction with one another and they will fight a lot to establish territory, during matting season (which can happen 4 times a year) their hormones will drive them to fight especial if they cant mate, I would trade for a female if you can. They will reproduce however but it is an easy solution, just pull the eggs. I would recommend putting them in an aviary to give them more space and time away from one another. They are still going to have tiffs but not as often. If you have them in a small cage i.e. parrot cage wire bird cage and you decide you want to trade 1 male for 1 female your male will fight with the female due to boredom (just to let you know, that happened with me). I have all my doves in a aviary outside now and all of the fighting has diminished. --Good Luck

Your dog and the neighbor's poodle are showing dominance over one another. It's very normal, though can be a bit annoying and disturbing. If your dog is not fixed, you should get him. That could solve this problem a little bit. Contact a local trainer or read up on some dog training books to solve the problem. It isn't a very serious problem.

well usually when you put 2 male animals (any kind of animal) then the 2 will fight or whatever... that's just how they are.. and well you should probably keep them separated if possible.. like in separate cages or whatever.. so that they don't continue to bit each other or you can ask a professional at a pet store like.. pets mart or pet co or something about it and see what they say.

Seperate them. They'll learn their lesson quickly if they don't want to be in seperate cages.
