When I was using the tazorac cream I had to go to a moisturizing cleanser. Try dove face wash. Or Ponds water rinsable cleansing cream with cucumber. Those were both good for me.

Wash your face with a good all-natural herbal soap, then pat dry. Rubbing causes irritation and scarring. Then take a piece of aloe vera leaf and peel back the outer layer. smear the gel all over your face and let dry over night. Wash again in the morning using the herbal soap. Should clear up the problem in one or two days.
