Besides Yellow Tail I drink that all the time and I am sick of it...

I can understand why you would be sick of it. In the same price range if you want to stay with Australia, try Little Penguin, Alice White or Lindemans. From California try R.H. Phillips(night harvest), Forest Glen, Blackstone, Smoking Loon.

Ravesnwood (Red) Zinfandel (not the pink crap) - that's my choice when I don't drink the usual Yellow Tail. Also, Smoking Loon has won a ton of awards, but still fairly reasonable.

May I recommend Alice White Shiraz? Their Merlot is not bad as well. You can get the brand for under 5 bucks a bottle, and it outdoes several more expensive wines I've had.

Australian Brown Brother 2005, it's about $15 - $20. Smooth and dry!!

Sorry chick, but "good" and "red wine" are mutually exclusive terms. Then as if that weren't bad enough you had to throw in "cheap"! Nothing meets that impossibly high standard, but if you're just lookin' to cop a cheap buzz, get a bottle of Mad Dog!
