Now as to the times and the epochs, brethren, you have no need of anything to be written to you. For you yourselves know that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night. 1 Thess 5:1-2
Acts 1:7 He (Jesus) said to them, "It is not for you to know times or epochs which the Father has fixed by His own authority."

"But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God." 2 Tim 3:1-4

The end could be any time .....including later today.

The "cause" given in the Bible is that after we are taken to the judgement seat of God this present earth will be subject to fire and will melt. Then the new earth will appear.

2 Peter 3:10-13

10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare.

11 Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives 12 as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. 13 But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness.
(from New International Version)

The world has at least 7 years left. When we see a strong world political leader then I will be able to make a better prediction. Before the end we will see terrible wars. and diseases of what I call mutant insects hurt of with sever pain. There will be some solar activity that will cause sever sun burns. Famine and inflation that will make money worthless. Well that's a few.. Don't think too much about it we have to see that leader first... Jim

It was about 7-1/2 years ago.

Apparently it didn't have the impact the Christians were hoping for.

Jesus said no one knows the day or the hour, only his Father knows.
Nonetheless, many prophecies concerning the Lord's return have already been fulfilled. The apostasy which Paul prophesied in 2 Thessalonians is taking place right now so it won't be long before the Anti-Christ appears.
The important thing to remember is to be ready when he comes.
Peace and every blessing!

I think we have 2 clues...one is that Jesus said no one will know the hour he returns...and two is that he said that some people present (in the year 30) would not die before he returns....So either that second one is misinterpreted or he's just running realllly late.

First, let me reply to ... The book is called Revelation (with no 'S'). There was only one revelation given to John.

Okay, now. We are not suppose to know at that moment. We do know that they word of God has to reach all points of the world (according to Acts1:8) so everyone will have made their choice (To follow God or Man).

Just stick to following God and you will be alright.

He already came and now he is gone. He showed up according to prophecy by name, date, address and mission in the bible in 1963. The rapture has already happened. Did you miss it?
