A few people do.

"The science of global warming is clear. We know enough to act now. We must act now."

James Rogers, CEO of Charlotte-based Duke Energy.

"The overwhelming majority of atmospheric scientists around the world and our own National Academy of Sciences are in essential agreement on the facts of global warming and the significant contribution of human activity to that trend."

Russell E. Train, former environmental official under Presidents Nixon and Ford

"Global warming is already starting, and there's going to be more of it. I think there is still time to deal with global warming, but we need to act soon. Humans now control global climate, for better or worse."

James Hansen, Ph.D. climate scientist, NASA

"By mid-century, millions more poor children around the world are likely to face displacement, malnourishment, disease and even starvation unless all countries take action now to slow global warming."

Michael Oppenheimer, professor of geosciences and international affairs at Princeton University

"We simply must do everything we can in our power to slow down global warming before it is too late. The science is clear. The global warming debate is over."

Arnold Schwarzenegger, Republican, Governor, California

"Our nation has both an obligation and self-interest in facing head-on the serious environmental, economic and national security threat posed by global warming."

John McCain, Republican, Senator, Arizona

"These technologies will help us become better stewards of the environment - and they will help us to confront the serious challenge of global climate change."

President George Bush, Republican

Hey Rollipud!

Me and Bob above post to quite a few of these questions. I think from the information he's compiled you can see that there's no doubt that the people at the top have finally got the message. I've put together a few links that will help put you in the picture as far as the science, the economics, the morals and what the future
may hold.

Have a read.

My question is: Is it too late already. Yes or no, the future is bleak and we are seeing now quite unmistakable signs of the damage we have wrought and we're getting a taste of the future attractions that are in store.

My personal view is that we have 25 years or we've blown it. So don't despair, get busy! Link 3 has some really easy and simple things that can be done (everyone can do these) they'll save you money and energy and help, just little. If we all do the same, suddenly that's a big help.

Best wishes

LT

Well the weather is always spiraling out of control, isn't it? I mean, we have never been able to control the weather. So I am not worried about global warming. The effects will not be catastrophic for us, despite what alarmists like Al Gore say. The latest report from the big meeting in Paris, last week I think, is predicting sea levels may rise a foot or two by 2100. A foot or two in 100 years. That is just not at the top of my list of things to worry about.

I wish i could alter the fonts on this to make the letters big enough for you environmentalist idiots to see.... THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS THE 'SCIENCE OF GLOBAL WARMING' just a bunch of control freak, self important, pseudo-scientists and tax grubbing politicians.

WE ARE AT THE END OF AN ICE AGE... WHAT HAPPENS AT THE END OF AN ICE AGE?

ICE MELTS... OR IT WOULDN'T BE THE END OF AN ICE AGE... DERRR.

400 YEARS AGO THERE WAS PASTURE FOR CATTLE FARMING ON GREENLAND, NO ICE.. THE WORLD DIDN'T END.
WHY DO YOU THINK IT WAS CALLED GREENLAND... BECAUSE IT WAS GREEN... NOT WHITE...THE VIKINGS WERE SHORT ON IRONY

YOU ARE BEING MIND CONTROLLED BY POLITICIANS WHO NEED THE WORRY AND PANIC TO MASK THEIR REAL EVIL PLANS.
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS MAN MADE GLOBAL WARMING
AND THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO ABOUT NATURAL GLOBAL WARMING... HOWEVER, IT IS GOOD NOT TO WASTE VALUABLE RESOURCES
Sorry to shout, but no-one looks at the whole picture, just the little bit with us in it

No, it is just a normal cycle. I remember couple decades ago the same Time magazine having a front page warning about global cooling and the danger we were in and all the scientists were warning of doom. How is it that other planets are showing the same signs? Its just an increase in sun activity and will in time reverse itself. It will likely take decades again.

Try this on for size. Global warming is nature. Of course it's out of control. Every form of nature is out of control. I think the 8 degree weather in my city is out of control. Because it is, and it won't be in control any time soon. Because it's nature.

We've never had any control over the environment to begin with, so it is hard for it to spiral out of control when it was never in control.

Ha ha ha ha ha you people make me laugh. What difference will it make if u obsess about it?

I don't give a toss for environment, I pay enough taxes for the government to sort that. We've got 2 big gas guzzlers, don't recycle, use lots of energy, and don't give a hoot.

I leave that to the left-wing student types like you, who will moan about it but will be too lazy to get a job.

Yes, I think it is very worrying. I think that the governments should stop calling it Global Warming as uneducated people probably think it is nice to have warmer summers without undersanding the consequences
