I know they still make Thompson machine guns, and pretty much every other gun... in semi auto at least. But is there a site where I can find an German mp40? The actual relic ones are wayyyyyy too expensive. I am interested in other guns like that too, if you happen to have a website.

Nope, sorry.
I wish they did, but it'd have to be an SBR (short barreled rifle, requiring special registration and tax the same as a machinegun)
in order to not look goofy with a 16 inch barrel.
(the MP40 had an 11" barrel)
by the time you invest the time money and effort to purchase a SBR, you might as well buy a registered MP40 machinegun.
(about 3500.00 - 6500.00$)
There is a metal bodied MP40 AEG airsoft gun that is a dead ringer of the real deal that sells for about 350.00$
That might be the best bet for your collection.

Are there any websites that sell newly manufactured semi-auto mp40's?

I really don't believe they make these anymore, but you can try www.gunbroker.com. If someone is still making/selling them, you'll find it there.
