I've been in a relationship for three months. I really like my girl. She's great, but there just isn't that feeling! (The L word, God it freaks me out just to think of it.) I'm worried that soon she'll say I L you...What do I do. Do I say I L you too, without really meaning it, or just say thanks!!! I mean when the time is right I’d be glad to say it. We've even discussed this and she's been dropping hints lately which are scaring me. Like one time when she was away at the end of her email she was like.. It would be so nice to say I L**e you baby, but for now I’ll stick to goodnight...or smith like that. I would be thrilled if I felt that way towards her, it's hard to explain... But I don't feel that way just now (even though I would like to).. So what to do if she does say it...

Just tell her what you told us....you would love to be in love with her but nows not the right time and you don't want to lead her on. Just tell her you're totatlly into her and you want to get to know her better.

I can't believe people think about these things and actually discuss them, what ever happen to being spontaneous? How in the f**king world can this be some weird threatening thing? Who says "It would be nice to say i love you"? You people scare me. Romance and true love is so dead. Why don't you tell her that you are both so clearly desperately emotionally impoverished that you can say I love you until the cows come home and it'll still mean exactly bugger all.

There are so many kinds of Love,

Love for a friend. Love for parents. Love for a pet etc.

Don't get freaked out over it. Just let nature take it's course.

Don't tell her you love her unless you absolutely mean it. If she says it when you're together, just give her a hug and a kiss. If she says it over the phone, say something like,'Aaah, babe.' If she presses the subject, tell her you don't want to say it until you're 100% certain of your feelings because you don't take it lightly.

don't say it if you don't mean it as that will just be leading her on. If you don't think you are falling in love with this girl after 3 months, do you think you will fall in love with her? If it's the real thing then you will know.

I think you're overreacting by acting like "love" is a word which will end the world... Calm down and do what you think is best for you and your gf.

you're obsessing too much over this. if you're afraid of love then what the frak are you doing in a relationship? my advice is to give up, quit your girl and grow up some before you attempt anything that involves the L word.

why are you worrying about something that has not even happened yet, maybe she will not actually say it,maybe she will, don't stress and enjoy what obviously seems to be a very loving relationship

i totally agree with a1980.
i have been with my boyfriend for 3 months and i am falling for him but im not sure if he is for me, sometimes i feel tempted to say i love him but im not sure what he would say back.
so just tell her what you told us cos that a lot nicer way of putting it rather than "aww thanks!" that will make her feel like cr*p.
good luck!
oh and definatly dont tell her you love her if you dont mean it cos that just really nasty.
