I don't try to push Islam on anyone. I only try to properly explain our beliefs so that people can have a better understanding of our faith.
People fear what they don't understand, and often hate what they fear.
A little understanding can go a long way.

preaching and pushing on others are two different things. pushing on others is what Iran does by making Christianity illegal and only allowing Islam to be practiced. Preaching is simply stating your beliefs. No one is pushing you one way or another on Yahoo... if you feel pushed then you should stop reading Y/A.

Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. - Jesus
How will they hear without someone to preach?- Apostle Paul
don't know what you're passionate about- your kids, cars, education- but you probably feel compelled to answer questions that pertain to your area of expertise. My religious beliefs are of inestimable everlasting value, so whereas many feel it is lame to preach, my heart moves me share the God's promises.

I think that if you come here and ask a question then you can expect to hear people preaching their religion. Would you prefer we preach each individual askers religion? It helps when you have an understanding of how religious people think and act.

I think it's lame for atheists to come in here and slander Christians because they believe in God.
I don't preach my beliefs. I've offered my opinion when asked.
Looks to me as if you're the one trying to preach some belief here today.

I think God is convicting your heart. The Bible tells us Christians to spread the Gospel to everyone on the earth. How would you feel if you let someone slip into Hell because you were too 'lame" to tell someone about Jesus?

Push, yes. Share, no. Though some don't like to hear it so they call it pushing. Kind of like your Mom telling you the truth about something you want to ignore, but deep down you know she's right.

Hate to break this to you but it's called freedom of speech. There is all sorts of "religions" pushed here on YA. Liberalism, Conservatism, Muslims, Jews, homosexuals, racists, all push their "religion" in one way or another. They have the right to do so. BUT, you also have the right not to read or answer them either.

I think that is a generalization. I am a Muslim and never push my religious beliefs on other people either on Y/A or life. There is no such thing as trying to convert people in Islam. Have you ever had a Muslim come to your door asking you to accept the Quran? No of course you haven't. But I bet you have had a few Christians and Jehovah's Witnesses haven't you.
