The verdict is that the Shroud of Turin was produced sometime in the 12th or 13th century A.D and could NOT have been the burial cloth of someone who died during the period when Jesus was alleged to have lived and died. It, like most relics of the Middle Ages, is a fraud produced to be sold to gullible pilgrims as they toured the holy sites.

There has been more studies, in that the piece of cloth originally dated, was material to repair it when it had been burned. So, they didn't date the original piece of burial cloth.

There is a new teaching on evidence for Christ & the shroud of turin is in it.

I don't think the picture of the shroud shows the wounds in His hands and side clearly. So, would like to see a better picture. I think this is a shroud of a martyr for Christ.

Carbon dating has been performed again recently in an attempt to determine if it was the burial shroud of Jesus. You may find the following of interest:

Sadly carbon dating is false on many occasions, even that is a shaky leap of faith. Do some research on bad carbon dating and ask yourself why a dating firm requires you to guess at the age of the item to be dated on the forms you fill out.

Carbon dating and spectral analysis have proven it was actually the burial shroud of Fred Flintstone.

It's a masterpiece of clever fakery.
Designed to lure the flocks of gullible sheep into the church and in so doing, making them leave behind their money.
You know what they say about fools and their money right?
