The question didn't state that there wasn't any evidence, only that there was a lack of it.

Faith is based on that which is not seen.

Disagree. Only because you don't present enough criteria to give a flat yes or no answer. It would depend on many separate things before one could agree or disagree. No blanket agreement here.

A theory without evidence isn't even a theory.
You might want to look up 'theory' in a dictionary.
If this is meant to be an attack on the theory of evolution, you're sadly mistaken -- only the Big Bang theory is better supported than the Theory of Evolution (The COBE data pretty much finished the puzzle of Big Bang, the remaining details require quantum gravity to figure out, and we're still working on quantum gravity).

As I see it there are several types of faith...belief or whatever you want to call it. When it comes to religion, especially christian religion, all you have to be able to do is believe the unbelieveable. Whereas in everyday living you must have faith in a lot of people, things etc. When you go for a drive you must have faith that the thousands of other drivers will obey the rules...when you board an airplane you must have faith that the mechanics, the control tower people and equipment, the pilots and all involved are ok. When you cross a bridge you got to have the same faith in the engineers, the construction workers, quality of materials etc. Everywhere you go...everything you do you must have faith to function.

Agree.
If you want to get all technical, a theory based on lack of evidence isn't even a theory. It's just a made up story. Theories are based on the results of experiments done to test hypotheses, which is based on observation. If there is no observation, there is no hypothesis, therefore, there is no experiment, therefore there is no theory. I hope I worded that correctly.

A particular type of faith is according to the three modes of material nature one acquires, viz,. goodness, passion and ignorance.
One may belong to a particular faith, islam, hindu, christian, jewish, buddhist or anything else but that faith changes according to the three modes of material nature one acquires. Belief in a theory based on lack of scientific evidence, devoid of logic and reason is indeed faith, but it is blind faith. It is a matter of mere sentiment.
Whereas knowledge of soul is not blind blind, but factual truth.
It is not a theory without scientific evidence, reason and logic.
This applies to all religions. Christian, hindu, muslim and everybody has soul. Whether out of mere sentiment they believe or not is another matter. Fact is Fact and not blind faith.

If it lacks evidence, it's not a theory.
There CAN BE NO FAITH WITHOUT REASON.

Disagree. You can't just ask that generally, because not all cases without evidence are the same. I assume that your referring to God, etc. Well yes, people who believe don't need evidence.
