Since he is your guy friend, you can bluntly ask him. He knows you like him so there should not be a problem. I know it may seem awkward, but you do not want to regret never asking him. I do not know about you, but I hate regretting things. I would feel like I am slowly melting away inside. So yeah, ASK him! Good luck! Give us an update on how it goes!
Also, if you just assume he does or does not like you by his actions, you can never be sure.

If he's hangin with ya, he must like you or he wouldn't be around you. Now if he wants to take it to the next level, only time can tell. Perhaps some one on one time is called for. Everyone wants to move at rocket speed, go slow. Time is the best gauge!

Does he laugh if you trip and fall or hugs you alittle longer than expected. does he do stupid things like you grabbed somthing at the same time and he quickly back his hand away. The true way to tell is a first kiss how he reacts should tell it all

says so, spends money for you, cares for you, will help you by all means etc. appreciates & also criticizes, don't check him just observe you'll know soon guys can't hide it for long
