it doesnt exist. indeed it is a MYTH. you can make a silver or metallic effect in a tattoo but to actually have a shiny silver tattoo is not possible. the main reason for this is because a tattoo is under your epidermis layer of skin and then the skin grows over it healing the shine would dissapear. Also the shading effects actual effectiveness at looking like metal will vary on your skin tone. The only "safe" tested inks are the regular colours, no fancy irradiated UV thats experimental or anything else, if it worries you about colours stick to black.

This sounds vaguely familiar and seems to have had something to do with how the ink would contraindicate an MRI exam due to high metal content.

there is none, the skin would just dull the shine.
