Just want to know how much they charge to cash a £300 cheque

Hi, it is usually 5-10% of the total amount so it could be between £15 and £30.

Don't pay money to cash checks. If you do not have a bank account take your checks to the banks they are drawn on or a branch of that bank. You will need 2 ID's to prove who you are. If you have proper ID that bank will cash them. Otherwise open an account, however, the bank might hold the funds for 10 days until the checks clear before you get your money.

normally its 10% of the total amount so you would end up with £270.00
