It certainly will cause swollen gums. If it progresses to the next stage where it affects the bones of the jaw, it will cause headaches. If you are having these problems, please see a dentist soon or you might end up needing dental surgery.

Not sure about the Headache possibly I suppose But I have heard of the Swollen Gums.
