Depends on how long is AIT is. But no, you cannot live with him in the barracks. Unless you are married and his AIT is extensive you will not be allowed to live with him.

No you won't dear. AIT is just 4 more weeks of boot camp and he will be living right there with the other recruits. Advanced Infantry Training is what AIT stands for. After he is out of that, he will get his orders to his permanet station. He will be living in the barracks with the other men for quite some time. They are not going to let an unmarried Pvt or PFC live off base and they won't let him live off base until he has some rank. Sorry but Gung Ho and Simper Fi

Unless the AIT is more than 24 weeks, he has to live in the barracks, and you could only be with him if you were married...truthfully, if he is a PVT, he might not have much time for you...my first AIT was 10 weeks and we were on "total control" for 6 weeks of that (91W)...

First, for him to live off-post, you two would have to marry. The rest of the answer to this question depends on the length of the course, his grades, and the mood of the company commander at any given moment. If the AIT is somewhere like 6 months or longer, he MAY be allowed to live off post.

Nope, just wait till he finishes AIT, and gets assigned to a base/post. Even then you will probably not be able to live with him unless you get married, pay for an apartment off base from your own money, or if he can swing BAH somehow as a single soldier (unlikely if he is a junior enlisted).

No, he will have to live in the barracks during AIT.
Unmarried, low-ranking servicemembers live in the barracks. After he gets to his first duty station, the only way you can live with him is if he is authorized to live off-post. The only way that will happen is if the barracks are over-crowded, but chances are as a brand-new private, he'll be living in the barracks. If you guys want to live together you'll have to get married.

No, He would have to be completely finished with AIT, and be assigned to a permanent duty station before this is possible.

AIT? well heck what is that? lets say its like a school type thing for the military than probably not. My husband is in the military and if they have to go to bmt school or any school to help in training they go alone.

no, you cannot becasue 1. its apart of his graduation process, you are still in basic training, just not bootcamp. and 2. you are not married. you HAVE to be married to live on base with your boyfriend.
