If he has gotten back with out of revenge then probably but if he says he loves you and you feel he is sincere then he probably would not wnat to cause you the same pain he felt.
If you trust him let it go, if you dont then you shouldnt be in the relationship caus eyou will just end up hurting him again.

Is your question referring to fate as the outcome of your past?
If it is so then this saying answers your question "WHAT GOES ROUND COMES ROUND, BUT WHEN IT COMES BY YOUR WAY IT IS WORSE FOR YOU"
If you believe in the above (a mental disposition) then you are doomed because this belief is going to cause you to feel paranoid and insecure yourself. And I know that you don't want that.
If it isn't then it really depends on the security of your mate and how you assure and reassure your partner to help him/her be secure mentally, physically and emotionally.
If trust is lost, you have to work really really hard to gain that back.
That is if he/she already knows about it.
If he/she doesn't (There is no need to tell him/her about what you did) still, assure and reassure to instill emotional, mental and phyisical security, by your sayings and back it up with your actions.

I know its hard... but everyone makes mistakes! If he really Loves you, like he says... he won't cheat on you!!! If he still has "left-over pain", from when you cheated... theres a good chance he would cheat on you. But it depends on, if he cares about your feelings; not getting back at you or revenge! Talk to him, and see whats on his mind!
