I have suffered with depression for years . My moods can swing from disliking people I love to really liking/loving them . I think depression is a personal experience . It does differ from bout to bout .I sometimes hate my partner and want to be a millions miles away from him but i know it's my depression .I do really love him and would never want to be without him . All I can say about depression is in till you have experience it you can't understand how people who suffer with it are effected emotionally and physically.

Yes I think it is, I think that you are so caught up with how you yourself are feeling that you don't even register that there others around you, you may speak but it is almost robotic and you are only doing it because it is expected of you. Also if you are on anti-depressants they in themselves can make you feel very detached.

i wish i'd have asked that question sooner. i was only diagnosed as depressed 3 weeks ago, but that was the sign that made me realise. after i had broke up with my boyfriend i mentioned this to my mum and she told me to see the doctor. it wasn't that i didn't love him, but the thought of cuddling made me feel trapped. this is one of many signs of depression, but now i'm on medication, i'm glad i listened to the people who cared.
