I am so sorry that you got caught up in the lies of the prosperity gospel. I am hopeful that now your heart may be prepared to hear the true Good News of Jesus Christ. I am glad that God is helping you to see the falsehoods of the prosperity gospel.
Just a word of encouragement, any church family can foolishly let a brother or sister down when their lives are falling apart. It is hoped that they would be strong enough in the Holy Spirit to not do so, but it happens. And we must all remember that part of what church is about is growing together through the difficulties of life.
Turn to the true gospel of Christ. Find a church which relies on scripture and not just a feel good message.
God does love you but He wouldn't be much of a God if He gave us everything we wanted and No Where in Scripture is that promised. So someone really sold you a bill of goods.
Turn your back on the lies of prosperity gospel and seek the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Praying for you in Christ.

Honey I am sorry that you have been hurt by the church and that you are going through a bad time. Someone I don't think it was the prosperity Gospel that hurt it was the church not helping. Churches without the prosperity gospel still hurt people too! Sometimes in churches you have to ask for help. They don't automatically know that they have hurt you. Meet with the Pastor and tell him/her what happened give them a chance. But if you think that leaving is the right thing then go ahead. I am positive that you will find forgiveness and healing through God alone

Maybe God will use this misfortune to lead you to the true gospel. Notice I did not say God caused your problems, just that He can make something good come from them. Also if you read the other verses around the 'prosperity verse' you will note that it is not Jesus speaking, or the Father, but John giving greetings in a letter, much as we would wish someone well.

Sometimes the answer is NO. Just like all fathers, they want what is best for their children. Not just what they WANT..
Prosperity is not going to help you with hurt. Jesus is the comforter.
Things (prosperity) are possessions. I mean the streets of heaven are paved in Gold. God doesn`t need money. And it will never bring comfort.
You are looking in the wrong place for your happiness. It will never come from money..
Good luck!

The prosperity teachers are so far off
they want people to be all fuzzy and no problems
that is not what Jesus came to teach.
He came and said pick up your cross and follow him.
God sometimes allows people to go through hardships
so they can learn a good solid lesson where they can then go
and help others when they have a problem.
