Not at all. It is the most user friendly program out there. I have used it for years and you don't need to know tax laws, just answer questions. If special laws apply, the program will automatically ask you more questions. I have tried Tax Cut before and it is horrible. You will not regret using Turbo Tax. It even carries over information from last year's return to this year. For example, I had some capital losses from a few years ago, each year Turbo Tax automatically apply the maximum allowed loss to my tax return until it finally ran out. I know for sure if I didn't use Turbo Tax, I would have only deducted the loss for one year.

Of the few programs I've tried, I liked Turbo Tax the best. I ended up using H&R Block's TaxCut program to efile this year and found that in comparison it's a much clunkier interface.

I'm not familiar with turbo tax but I've used www.taxactonline.com for the last 5 years. It's very simple to use and they just charge you $9.95 to efile.

I've used it for years, and find it quite easy. It takes you step by step. I filed my taxes electronically on 2/4 and already have my state refund.

No, my husband and I use it and it very simply walks you through the steps and calculates everything for you. Highly recommended.
