They may be curious why Catholics worship Mary or pray to her, just a guess on my part

Beats me. Probably because very little is said about Mary in the Bible. They do not realise that the devotion to Mary came from Church Fathers.
I would like you to pray this little prayer with me. It is the prayer of St. Theresa, the patron saint of Little Ways. Meaning she did little things in life well and with great love.

May today there be peace within. May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith. May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content knowing you are a child of God. Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of us.

I would appreciate if you can share this prayer with your friends. My daughter sent it to me.
God bless!

The better question is why don't catholic read the bible for themselves instead of trusting someone else!
When you come to Judgment day what will you say when you find out you have been lied to you can't say then well they lied to me. You will have no excuse for you ignorance!

The bible tells us what the false church looks like and how it acts and her daughters.
You should look up queen of heaven in the bible

i dont' need to pray to anyone but to the Father in heaven a dead person can't hear my prayers. i pray directly to the Father just like the Messiah taught!

I think because the Bible says to have no other idol besides God, and when you see Catholics praying to Mary it seems as that's praying to another idol. That's always confused me anyways.

Because it brings dishonour to the Savior. It takes away from his suffering and sacrifice and focuses on another. In Biblical terms, it is called idolatry.

We don't care what they do. But we're still going to correct them so they have no excuses on their day of judgement.
