how to tell if a girl likes you?

i work with this girl.I have been in love with her 6 years.We go out alot. ride 4 wheelers and drank and sit out by fires at night.But nothing ever happens.Itried to kiss her a time or two but she just pulls away.but she lets me hold her in my arms and seems to enjoy her self.I am 46 she is 39.someone tell me what i am doing wrong.she always wants to be around me and its killing me that i can't show her my feelings.I am almost ready to move on.but thats not what i want.

you are not doing anything wrong. It seems like she may be the one with the problem. You've been in love with her for a long time. 6 years is a long to have your emotions played with like that. I mean you hang out like a couple would. Friends don't hold each other like that. She's sending mixed messages if she lets you hold her but won't let you kiss her. I think you need to sit her down and tell her how you feel because this is just going to hurt you more. something else has to be going on for her to hang out with you so much but not seem to want anything more. She may just want you as a friend and you have to decide what you want to do then. I think she may like you though and is just afraid of something. What that something is you'll have to figure out by asking her though...good luck!

Time to tell it like it is mate. Speak your mind and express your feelings, i think it's time she knows although how could she not know? Then again she may just see it as friends but as you get on so well, it would seem natural for it to progress to a relationship i guess. Either way, it would be wise to talk to her, if she doesn't want to take it furthur fine, if she does even better but you will never know if you don't ask. :-)
